Your pump and filter are the heart of any swimming pool, undersized kit means cloudy water, dead spots and burned-out motors. We stock circulation pumps and sand, cartridge and multi-cyclone filters from Argonaut, iFlo, Tagelus, Triton and other proven brands.
A correctly sized pump should turn over the entire pool volume every 6-8 hours. Tell us your pool size and we’ll spec the right combination of pump and filter.
Sand filters are low-maintenance and ideal for larger pools, backwash once a fortnight and replace the sand every 5 years. Cartridge filters give finer filtration (down to 10-20 microns vs 25-40 for sand) but need rinsing weekly. For most domestic pools, sand wins on convenience.
Aim for one full water turnover per day in season, typically 6-10 hours for a domestic pool. Run it during daylight hours when chlorine is being burned off and bathers are using the pool.
