For most domestic above-ground wooden pools you do not need planning permission, as they are considered a temporary structure. In-ground pools, pools in conservation areas, listed properties or front gardens may require permission, always check with your local planning authority before excavation.
A typical 4-6m wooden pool takes 2-4 days for a competent DIY team to assemble on a prepared base. Larger Knightsbridge or Belgravia models, or pools requiring excavation, usually take 5-10 days with two people.
Our pool packages include the pool structure, liner, filtration system (pump + sand or cartridge filter), skimmer, return inlet, ladder and a starter chemical kit. Heaters, covers and reels are sold separately so you can match them to your usage.
Yes, with the right kit. An inverter heat pump combined with a thermal solar cover keeps water at swimming temperature from April to October. For year-round swimming, you’ll want an insulated pool, full enclosure and a high-output heater, we can spec the whole system for you.
Yes. We deliver pools and equipment across UK mainland. Larger wooden pool packages are sent on a pallet with a tail-lift vehicle. Delivery times and any access restrictions are confirmed on order.
