About Swimming Pools

Looking for a swimming pool that's built to last UK weather? Our wooden, above-ground and in-ground pool packages are supplied by Wye Valley Pools & Leisure — a family-run pool specialist with decades of hands-on installation experience across the West Midlands, Wales and beyond.

Whether you want a compact plunge pool for a small garden, a 10m exercise pool for serious swimming, or a flagship Knightsbridge or Belgravia wooden pool that doubles as a stunning garden centrepiece, every pool we sell is matched with the right pump, filter and chemical pack so you're swimming on day one — not chasing missing parts.

Free expert advice is included with every order. Tell us your garden size, budget and how you plan to use the pool, and we'll help you choose the right model, recommend a heater, and walk you through installation step by step.

How to choose the right pool for your garden

  • Measure twice — leave at least 1m clear access around the pool for filter servicing and winter covers.
  • Above-ground wooden pools are the easiest DIY install (2-4 days) and don't need planning permission in most UK gardens.
  • Pair any pool over 10,000 L with an inverter heat pump to extend the season from May through September.
  • Always include a winter debris cover — it's the single biggest factor in keeping your pool clear for spring.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most domestic above-ground wooden pools you do not need planning permission, as they are considered a temporary structure. In-ground pools, pools in conservation areas, listed properties or front gardens may require permission — always check with your local planning authority before excavation.
